Cattle Grazing

Spring Lake Farm benefits from its superior pasture land in the Catskill mountains. The pastures stay green through out the summer months, rarely drying out. This is optimal for grass-fed beef. Our steers are born and raised on the farm and are always on pasture.

Our cattle is cross bred from Scottish Highland mostly, Black Angus, Hereford. 100% grass-fed with no use of antibiotics, hormones or other drugs. We work with a local USDA inspected plant and sell to chefs, caterers and families.
Flock in winter
Spring Lake Farm specialty is its grass-fed lamb. It is low in fat, well muscled has as an excellent taste that chef's appreciate. Our lambs are 100% grass-fed, free of hormones and antibiotics.

Our flock is a mixture of many different breeds, the most prominent characteristic is that the sheep do not have wool, a trait from African breeds lending the meat it's excellent flavor.

Our meat is sold on a case by case basis, depending on availability, season, and needs of each customer. Please contact us directly and we will work with you any way we can.
